Crazy Horse Ranch secluded mountain cabin in Western Colorado
Our vacation cabin is located at an elevation of 8,450 feet in Big Soap Park in the West Elk Mountains of western Colorado, nestled among blue spruce and fir trees, feet from West Soap Creek. The cabin sits on forty acres abutting the West Elk Wilderness area, and is not far from the Gunnison River and Blue Mesa Reservoir.
What can I do at Crazy Horse Ranch?
While based from our cabin you can enjoy big game hunting, fishing, horseback riding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing, and just relaxing. The area features exceptional natural beauty, including mountains to over 12,000 feet and plenty of game animals, so our cabin is also an excellent base of operations for elk, mule deer and bear hunting as well as outdoor photography. Best of all, our cabin is located in a secluded area at the end of a rough Big Soap Park and Soap Creek gravel road, so you will be able to enjoy your vacation in solitude.
When can I visit Crazy Horse Ranch?
Crazy Horse Ranch is open for use by guests driving wheeled vehicles equipped with four wheel drive from approximately Memorial Day through late November, depending upon snowfall. For guests using snowmobiles, the cabin is accessible from late November through April.
