After the snow begins piling up sometime in November, Crazy Horse Ranch serves as your gateway to the West Elk Wilderness area and Gunnison National Forest trail system, which offers excellent snowmobiling in the national forest and snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the wilderness area.Both are remote enough to see relatively little recreational use.
